Preliminary exercise: using DTP and an image manipulation program, produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionally you must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate your grasp of DTP.
Hi James, Just a quick catch up on what should be on your blog so far... 1) Introduction to what you are doing - overview of project and brief. You can also include your proposal table that we did in class. 2)Front cover deconstructions - about 3 in varying degrees of deatil (you can use work that you have done in class as well) 3) what you have learned about magazines from starting the course (poses, correct terms, connotations etc) see the powerpoint on moodle 4)Inspirational texts 5) you have already started looking at contents pages I see but you need two more deconstructions of contents pages on there too.
